So what is cancer anyway?

From Wikipedia,
Page semi-protectedCancer Listeni/ˈkænsər/, known medically as a malignant neoplasm, is a broad group of diseases involving unregulated cell growth. In cancer, cells divide and grow uncontrollably, forming malignant tumors, and invade nearby parts of the body. The cancer may also spread to more distant parts of the body through the lymphatic system or bloodstream. Not all tumors are cancerous; benign tumors do not invade neighboring tissues and do not spread throughout the body. There are over 200 different known cancers that affect humans.[1]

In other words
Your body is made up of millions and millions of cells. Cells are like building blocks, like Lego, that work together to help your body to do all the things it needs to do...Each cell plays a special role in the body. They form together to make tissues like skin, lung or heart.
When you have cancer some healthy good cells get out of control and change into sick bad cells. These sick bad cells push your healthy good cells out of the way. They grow fast and strong and they go where they are not supposed to, and invade nearby parts of your body
When sick bad cells clump together they form a lump called a tumor.
Sick cells stop your body from working the way it should. That’s why you start to feel tired and sore.
